This site makes federal drinking-water records easy to find by ZIP code and by water system, and explains them in plain English without changing what they say.
It combines EPA's UCMR 5 occurrence data, SDWIS records distributed through ECHO, EPA public-water-system service areas, and Census ZIP Code Tabulation Areas. The source data are public domain; this site is independent and is not affiliated with EPA, the Census Bureau, or any utility.
Water quality cannot be reduced to one score. The pages show the recorded value, unit, date, regulatory or non-regulatory reference, and comparison basis. They do not label a water supply “safe” or “unsafe,” and they do not replace your utility's current Consumer Confidence Report or a test of your own tap.
