Accountability

Corrections

When a published figure, place assignment or statement turns out to be wrong, we fix it and record it here, newest first. Routine updates from a new EPA data release are not listed; each page shows its own data date.

· County and state totals

Some county and state counts changed. No measurement was added or changed.

Some water systems were assigned to a state or county from their administrative mailing address instead of the state encoded in their system ID or their reported service area. We now use the state-issued ID for the primary jurisdiction, check county links against Census codes and names, and leave ambiguous records out of county totals.

The EPA source records and their sampling dates did not change.
